BMI Women's Health are proud to sponsor WellBeing of Women (WoW) that is the only UK charity funding research into all aspects of women’s reproductive health. WoW is dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of good reproductive health and raising vital funds to invest in medical research in three key areas:

  • Gynaecological Cancers –  (e.g. ovarian, cervical cancers)
  • Pregnancy and Birth –  (e.g. pre-term birth, recurrent miscarriage)
  • Quality of Life – (e.g. menopause, period problems, incontinence)
It is true to say that every woman born since 1964 will have benefited from the advances in health made possible by WoW funded projects.

This year  WellBeing of Women is entering an exciting new era. We want to double the funds we put into research and we are aiming to invest £2 million by the end of 2008. We are determined to continue implementing the results of our groundbreaking research in women’s health, and now more than ever we need the support of our corporate partners.

Today WoW funds:
  • Instrumental research projects, changing and improving tomorrow’s healthcare practice
  • Grants to train young doctors in medical research, providing the UK with a new generation of experts in women’s health
  • Information resources, helping women to understand their bodies and seek medical assistance when necessary
